About this Blog

Welcome to my site.  I teach middle school art and love it!

The creativity and problem solving that takes place in the art room is like none other.  The moment a person discovers a new medium or technique and uses it to bring ideas to life, brings celebration.  Each piece of art tells a story of its creator.  Their choice of subject, colors, lines, and textures speaks volumes. Please join us on our journey through art exploration and self-discovery.

I hope you enjoy examples of student artwork as well as other information on my blog.  Perhaps you’ll find some inspiration during your visit.  If so, please share.

Thanks for stopping by,

Mr. Brink

In case you were wondering,  the name of my blog came from one of the paper mache sculptures I created, modeled after another teacher's class pet.   The iguana was very popular with the students and I love a great art challenge, so it became a sort of mascot for the art room too.
