Fifth grade students and their families make some really cool artifact projects for their Social Studies class each year. The teachers hold an open house in the evening to showcase all their hard work. Here are a few examples of what students brought in.
Koi Fish
This was a teacher led drawing assignment where students
were then allowed to choose colors of Crayola watercolor markers to finish the artwork. We used a wet brush to pull out some of the
color. Outlining was done with Sharpie
markers to avoid ruining their color choices.
It was interesting to see the different interpretations the kids came up
with.
