Students learned about George Seurat and pointillism. Then they got to explore painting using dots. They had a lot of neat ideas and did an amazing job.
Art Inspires Art
One of my students put a lot of extra time and effort into his paper mache dragon. It was so much fun to watch the progression of the project. He was very proud of it.
I love it when students take off with an idea and make it become a reality. I enjoyed it so much, it inspired me to do a watercolor painting of his creature to give to him.

Value in Art
Students created a maple leaf with patterns in ink and then used a gradient of color to complete the background. They had to mix their own paint to achieve the different values of a color.
