Mandala Designs

These are some examples of  the awesome work students have been doing while creating their Mandala Designs.

Reclaiming clay

Some of my students and I have begun preparing clay for use later in the trimester.  Since the reclaimed clay is very wet, we are letting some of the water evaporate, then portioning it out when workable.  After that, it's put in individual bags and stored until we are ready to use it.

Graphite Fun

It was fun spending some time drawing today.  It's amazing what can be created using just a few pencils and some paper.

Community Mural

I had the privilege to help with a community mural this summer.   The project was led by muralist Martin Moreno.  It was a busy two weeks and a lot of fun.  The way people of all ages from all over town and beyond came to help with set up, painting, bringing food, water, and offering encouragement was amazing!

To find out more about the mural check out the video below.
